I had the pleasure of taking their engagement photos two weeks ago and I’m excited to be documenting their wedding next month! Here are a few my favorites from the session and the slideshow.

Also, I wanted to blog about one of the coolest (no pun intended) ice cream cafe in Chicago called the “icream cafe“.  Remember in my previous blog when I mentioned it was one of eateries that I definitely wanted to try out? Well I did and I wish we had one here in California! Maybe one day someone will open a shop over here because I know it’s going to be a major hit! You can custom create your ice cream right then and there and using liquid nitrogen, it takes between 3-6 minutes! They also offer a variety of other frozen dessert options as well! IT’S SOOOO AWESOME!!

I ordered a scoop of ice cream and the flavors I choose were Vanilla with Honey and Graham Crackers. Then the lady behind the counter asked me what color I wanted my ice cream to be. I was like, “color!?” and she said, “Yes, choose any color you like!” and so I said blue because that’s my favorite color! :) This is what I got and it was DELICIOUS! 

Can I, like, copyright that Vanilla-Honey flavor or something or at least get it called, “the Solitario” flavor?!? What do you think!?!?

Anyways, without further delay, here is our summary slideshow of our awesome trip to Chicago, IL :)

I’m not quite sure if this would fall under “Happy Friday Video” because it’s about a bride suing her wedding photographer, BUT today is Friday; I am happy; and this is definitely a video I must share with all of you! A must watch for all brides/grooms-to-be and also for wedding photographers too!

When I first started doing weddings, I admit I couldn’t afford to buy a professional camera or lenses. So what did I do then? I rented them!

If you’re wondering where you can rent equipment, check out Borrowlenses.com or Lensrental.com.  If you don’t feel comfortable about borrowing lenses online, look for a locale photograph company that rents out equipment.  It’s just for the best!

I guess we can all learn a lesson from the video above.

Everytime I hear him play the keyboard, piano, organ, and sometimes.. guitar (he knows a couple of chords).. my heart melts.. and I feel so blessed to have him share his music with me… I’m pretty much the first one who gets to hear new melodies he’s created… and that’s pretty cool..

Last night I asked him to play something for me. He asked me what I wanted to hear. I told him, anything! I just want to video tape him playing on the keyboard :o). Here’s what he came up with…

I can already hear the words to the music.. so I think this will be something we can build on together….

We got this idea from a wedding invitation video we saw last year and we decided it would be cool to make up our own version, but as a Happy 95th Anniversary Greeting to all our brothers and sisters in the faith.. all over the world!

It was awesome working along side our photographer friends Richwell Correa and Shaun Valenton of Richwell Correa Photography! Richwell was the person who got me interested in photography! He’s not only a friend, but a fellow brother in our church, Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Yup, Ryan and I are making a lifestyle change!  It’s about time!  That is what we’ve been up to lately for the past week and with God’s help we will be able to stick with our healthy regimine this time!!  I’ve re-joined sparkpeople.com and since I got the new iPhone 3GS last week, I added the tracking application that the website provides! Now I’m able to track the foods I’ve eaten, calories I’m burning, and my water intake! Oh and most importantly, it tracks the weight I’ve lost so far.. and when I checked this morning.. I already lost 2 lbs! WOOO HOOOO! I know I have a long way to go.. but hey.. it’s a start! I just need to stick with it… focus.. focus and most of all pray for guidance!

Since pictures makes blog posts more interesting, here’s a picture of the berries I ate this morning taken with my IPHONE 3GS!

OH and since it’s FRIDAY, here’s my HAPPY FRIDAY VIDEO! It’s a topic related video and hopefully this NEVER happens to ME or Ryan!! haahahah!

This weekend, Ryan and I actually don’t have anything big planned, so I think we might visit the Huntington Botanical Garden since we have a membership there or finally check out the Annenberg Space for Photography exhibit in Los Angeles…  Not sure what we’re gonna do, but we’ll make good use of our time doing something productive. Anyone interested in coming along??
