For now, here’s a new blog post and what better topic than posting baby photos!!  Ina turned 3 months here and I am finally able to share it on my site.  Shey and Kuya Ed, sorry for the delay!! I hope you enjoy these photos of your little princess :D

Let’s Fast forward to 18-years later!!!!  A few months ago, I decided to buy myself a sewing machine. I was getting tired of buying clothes only to see other people wearing the same thing… So I drove to Joann’s Fabrics, took about 30-45 mins to decide on a sewing machine, bought some sort of plaid fabric, got some thread, a zipper, scissors, a pattern to make a skirt and a cutting board and went home only to leave all of those things on the floor of my room for about a week because I didn’t know where to begin…

One Friday night, while Ryan went to the chapel to guard, I decided it was time to open the box and see what I needed to do to start sewing!  That night, I learned how to thread a bobbin and I also learned how to thread the needle on the machine! I was so happy that at the same night, I decided to make a plaid skirt! How hard could it be right?? Well, it was a bit difficult but I learned from my mistakes. Eventually, I finished the skirt on Sunday and although it was not as perfect as it could have been, I was proud of my accomplishment. I told myself that no matter how hard it would be, I will not quit! Besides the fact that I would be wearing something that other people wouldn’t have, I was also inspired to learn because of my cousin Joy and some friends who posted their creations on Facebook!

I think another reason why I wanted to learn how to sew is because I started to miss both of my grandmothers who were both seamstresses… It makes me feel like their skills of being a seamstress is being passed on to me… even though I know I have a long way to go………..  I recently finished my second sewing project which is a pair of jeans. Again, I still have a long way to go till I perfect the skill of sewing… but at least I can wear my new jeans while I’m at it… and yes they actually fit :D

Aldrin and Meghan: I’m really happy and excited for the both of you! By looking at these photos, it looks like you both still haven’t really “grown up” because of silliness of some of the photos, but who wants to grow up anyway :) Stay the way you are right now in these photos; Happy, Silly, and in LOVE :)

My excuse for the past nine years for not being in photos is, “I belong behind the camera”.  Well, this year will be different because I plan to take more photos of us wherever and doing whatever! Then, when the next nine years of marriage comes along, we’ll have ton of photos and memories to reminisce on…

I also realize that Ryan and I never really had an “engagement session” done. I think it’s because we’re just not used to cameras being pointed at us.  Maybe after a year of practicing how to “be” in front of the camera, we’ll be able to get a photographer to take portraits of me and Ryan (which I know will be an interesting session) on our 10th year wedding anniversary!

I have to admit that after reviewing photographs that we take of our brides, grooms, family, and friends, I have this wish that one day, Ryan and I will have cool photos to share on this blog!  Until then, here’s a teaser for my friends Aldrin and Meghan! Here’s a photo taken during their engagement session a few weeks ago!  Argghhh… i’m so jealous how gorgeous they look!!!  ;-)

Then I finally got to meet his family (his wife Aileen, and their two children, Brayden and Dominic) and I knew I was going to have a really good time. Still, I was nervous, but at least I knew I was going to have a lot of fun with photographing the family. Their kids are ADORABLE!! I miss them already!! Brayden even brought his own camera during the photo shoot to show me his photographic skills and with Dominic, well, once you get him to smile, your heart just melts!

Conrad and Aileen: Thank you again for your support! You two are on my list of favorite families and I hope we can all hang out again! P.S. Conrad, I’m still nervous about giving you the raw files, but hey, you’ve helped me so much in the past, it’s the least I can do… you’ll just have to photoshop out the wrinkles on your shirt and other unwanted blemishes you were asking me to remove hahaha :)
