San Diego, CA Wedding : Clint & Hershey

Clint and Hershey got married on a beautiful Friday evening in the city of National City, CA on September 30th. Surrounded by loved ones, the two of them vowed to be united with one another until the very end. Although their wedding was done last month, the celebration of their love is still fresh in my mind and I am so happy to have been a part of it all. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as Ryan and I had enjoyed taking them.

Congratulations again Clint and Hershey! I can’t believe it’s been over a month already! I know you two are having a wonderful time being married!! Here is to more years of blessings to you both!!

CHIEF PETTY OFFICER PHILIP NACIONALES – Pinning Ceremony

A couple of week ago, Ryan and I had the honor of documenting our friend’s Pinning Ceremony. Philip was pinned as a Chief Petty Officer. Lei, his wife had contacted me weeks before to see if I could cover it. It was one of the most important events in their family’s lives. According to wikipedia.com, “Advancement into the Chief Petty Officer grades is the most significant promotion within the enlisted naval rank.” At first I wasn’t sure if I could make it, but schedules were changed and with God’s help, my schedule opened up and I was free and able to be their photographer. It was such a blessing to be there because I don’t know when I’ll be able to witness something like that ever again!

Just You and Me

Dear Husband of Mine:

This is so we don’t forget these moments…

We drove down to San Diego on Sunday. It was just you and me and I enjoyed every minute of it! I wish we could spend our days doing what we did that day, driving around, exploring new places and taking photos of what I like to call as, “the most happiest places on earth” (and I’m not talking about Disneyland). It’s been one of my dreams and silent prayers to do what we have been assigned to do; to take photos of INC Chapels in our District and I consider it an honor and a blessing from above.

While you drove, I kept telling you how certain areas in San Diego just seemed like a whole new “different” place and you had to keep reminding me that it’s because “we are in a different place”… so I would then take in the moment of being where we were, wishing it would last just a little more longer, because I just love it…when it’s just you and me.

We have a couple more places to travel to this month and next, and I’m really looking forward to those moments when we will be on our own, discovering new places, and enjoying the moments that God gives us; Moments of just you and me.

San Diego, CA Wedding : Jay & Honeylette

I’m so happy to finally share these wedding photos with you! Jay & Honeylette’s wedding was held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Iglesia Ni Cristo house of worship in the local of South San Diego. Although many of their friends and family were in attendance during their special day, what I loved most about the wedding is how intimate the ceremony and reception felt.

Honeylette was such a beautiful bride and her smile could light up a room in seconds! Jay was not so bad looking himself :) as you can see from the following photos :)

Honeylette got ready at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego. It was also the perfect place for their reception.

San Diego, CA Wedding Teaser : Honeylette & Jay

I’m actually catching up on a lot of things and it looks like I’m going to have more time hanging out with family and friends this coming November & December! It’s the simple things in life that we enjoy doing most and I can’t wait! I think that I’m going to use our free time reading books!! There are so many books that I’ve been wanting to read! I still have the twilight series that Ryan’s mom gave me to read, as well as all the other books in Ryan’s iPad that he was able to finish!! Then, maybe I need to plan a day (or two days) trip up north again and enjoy. I’m not sure yet what we plan to do, but I am realllllllyyy looking forward to some time off…

Until then, Ryan and I have to finish up a few more projects with photo and video editing and album designing! I know it would be easier for me to send these things out to get done, but we’re a hands on couple and we like to make sure we can control the input and output of our work projects. Here’s a teaser for our friends Honeylette and Jay who got married this past Saturday in San Diego. Congratulations Honeylette and Jay!!

Coronado, CA Engagement Session : Jay & Honeylette

I met Honeylette through Anna & Rius. She was one of their bridesmaids during their wedding and it was during then I was able to meet Jay and Honeylette together. I remember during Anna and Rius’ wedding reception that I saw from the corner of my eye, a guy watching me as I photographed the event.. at first I thought that maybe I must really look weird taking pictures.. so I stopped for a moment, and took a quick glance at him… he looked kinda unapproachable.. but I realized he looked so familiar. I saw Honeylette sitting next to him, so then it hit me… “that’s Honeylette’s fiance, Jay!” They have a wedding website which is why he looked familiar to me. So I went up to both of them and introduced myself. Oh, about Jay being unapproachable… I was wrong.. They are two of the nicest people you could ever know and meet :)

Fast forward to this past weekend. We all met up at Coronado, CA in the San Diego area to take their engagement photos. We decided to do a morning photo session around the area and I REALLY, REALLY ENJOY CORONADO A LOT! I thought it was the perfect place for their photo session and I’m really happy with how the photos turned out.

Jay and Honeylette: I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed spending time with you both! I’m excited for your upcoming wedding and I know it’s going to be a lot of fun! So I do this thing with my couples… where every time I count to three, they need to come up with different poses… Jay & Honeylette couldn’t think of what to do, so they started to do the Robot instead!

It’s either they are laughing with me, or at me… :D

Coronado, CA Sneak Peak : Jay & Honeylette

I wanted to share a photo from an engagement shoot Ryan and I did on Saturday with Jay & Honeylette. I’ll be posting up their slideshow and more photos this week. They’re getting married in October and from the session we had a few days ago, I know it’s going to be a lot of fun spending more time with these two during their wedding!

This week is going to go by really fast for me and Ryan and then we’ll be out of the office from July 20 returning on August 23!!! We still have a couple of photo sessions coming up before we leave as well as getting things out and ordered for our friends, but don’t worry, Ryan and I are really working overtime to get things out before we leave. :D
