Amy Beltran - The way I relax is after a long arduous run, where I know I’ve pushed myself to the limit, after cooling down and stretching, I lay down on top of the concrete picnic table and stare up and the trees and sky and enjoy the sounds of nature, stillness, and quietness of deserving “me time” and accomplishment and I say a silent but thankful prayer to God for life, health, love and all the blessings.

Roeben Gopez - Anything as long as its with the right company and the right mood. I’m very easy to please so there’s an endless list of things that would suit my favorite ways to relax. I couldn’t possibly give an exact answer because I love everything from sitting down for a cup of coffee, to taking a jog, to eating, to even driving. All in all, I have no favorite because of the range of things that put my mind and body at ease. =)

Dean Salangsang - One of my absolute favorite ways of relaxing by myself is to take a 5 min drive and park at Manhattan Beach pier around the time frame of just before sunset. I then pop open the trunk of my car and take out my skateboard and hook up my earphones to my ipod and set up my playlist for shuffle which includes the 500 Days of Summer, Paper Heart, and Garden State soundtrack on shuffle. Then i proceed to skate at a mild pace on the strand from Manhattan pier to Hermosa pier and sometimes even Redondo pier on the smooth and calming pavement. I am not quite sure but the act of just being able to just roll along the strand with early evening weather as the sun slowly sets and my relaxing music going, never fails to calm me. That would have to be one of my fav ways to unwind and relax myself.

Janine - Never done this before so I hope I’m doing this right. Funny how I saw this post on facebook about relaxing and that’s exactly what I’m doing now. Having a toddler isn’t easy so my husband, Ryan, and I truly relax after Lucy goes to bed. We don’t necessarily relax the same way always, but when we have quiet time together, we consider it a time of relaxation. Currently Ryan’s working on putting together a rebuilt engine in the garage. This “project” of his is his stress reliever. I’m currently in the cold garage with him, sitting in my pajamas on an upside down bucket from Lowe’s with my lap top in my lap, just to be in close proximity of him. We’re listening to some Dashboard Confessional and singing along. Again, this is not the way we always “relax” but the fact is that we’re together. We’re doing our own thing, but we’re still together… in the same room. And that time together is all that matters.
