We had a special guest last weekend! Our friend Leslie was in Costa Rica for two weeks and was heading back home to Philippines. She decided to do a stop over at LAX and stay with us for a day so that she could attend the Year End Thanksgiving Worship Service at our local. We are so glad that she did because it’s always great to have friends visiting us, especially friends from other countries! Well, the night she arrived, we decided to take her out to eat at Hokkaido Buffet for dinner… unfortunately, our plan to treat her out backfired and it’s all Ryan’s fault :P.
Towards the end of dinner, while I went to get dessert, Ryan decided he also wanted to get up and get desert as well, leaving Leslie by herself. As I started to walk back to the table, I see from a distance, Leslie talking to the waitress and she was signing something. When I got closer, I realized she had just paid for dinner! :P When Ryan got back, I told him what happened and then I jokingly scolded him for leaving Leslie alone. Then I told Ryan, “We should’ve picked a more expensive place to eat!” :D he he he just kidding Leslie!!
We were hoping to take her around town, but the weather last week was not favorable, so we decided to just watch movies at home… Hopefully she will get to visit us again along with her family too :D
