San Francisco, CA Engagement Session : Robert & Golda

I always get really nervous when I’m about to meet my brides and grooms for the first time! I’m always thinking, “Are they going to like me and Ryan?” or “Will we all just hit it off?”. Most of the time, my only source of contact before an engagement session is through e-mail, and if I am lucky enough, I find them on facebook or I find their wedding website, so I can check out how they interact with people and see what they’re all about! Yes, I stalk them through online social medias and I know I’m not the only photographer out there who does it.

Meeting Robert and Golda was no exception. I found them on facebook and I’ve been visiting their wed-site/blog-site since Golda gave me the link. What can I say? I was nervous! But what kept me cool though was knowing that they also belong to the same church as me and Ryan, so we weren’t just going to have a “photographer-client” relationship. We were going to have a brother/sister-in-the-faith relationship :)

When we finally met up with them at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco, I immediately felt as if I’ve known them for a long time. After the formal handshake/hugs/high fives, we were joking around like old friends.  I’m glad that they were so easy to work with and I LOVED how much fun they have with one another! It was so easy to capture their true selves which makes the photos so real. So them.

Golda and Robert, first of all, THANK YOU for giving us the opportunity to be your photographers. It means so much to us that even though you didn’t know us, you chose us and you trust us. We hope you enjoy the photos and the slideshow! We look forward to spending more time with you soon! :D
