My mind is already on vacation mode. Yet, I have a couple of projects still to finish at work and at home before Ryan and I leave for Chicago, IL! Yes! We’re finally going to go to the Windy City and in about 24 hours, we’ll be on a plane! We’ve been checking the weather and it is looks like rain, rain, and more rain… But I’m not going to let the weather damper our spirits! We are going to make the most of our time there and we will be enjoying everything!
There are already a couple of food places that I definitely want to check out and a few dessert shops like the iCream cafe where they make ice cream and all other types of desserts from scratch! Then, they use liquid nitrogen to freeze up the ingredients to create your ice cream!! Sounds really exciting huh!? I hope I get to video tape it – IF I don’t forget to! Knowing me, I usually forget when I get really excited! So even though it is going to be cold, windy, and rainy, I really want some ice cream from the iCream cafe!!! :)
We plan on doing a tour bus thing where they drop you off from one site to the next because I think that’s one of the best ways to see the city! When I was a kid, I used to think people looked uncool and too touristy riding those things, but now that I’m all grown up, it really is the most practical thing to do!! So whether we look cool or not, we are going to be on those buses!
Okay, okay.. I better end this blog posts now because I’m getting really excited and I still have about 23 hours left before leaving for our trip!! WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!
