My name is Joan Solitario and I'm a photographer :)

I did not find photography and photography did not find me. Instead, I believe it was a gift from God. He gave me the opportunity to learn photography so that I can help people capture their memories. Most of all, I can use this gift for His glory.

Photography has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know so many wonderful people! It has also given me the opportunity to photograph events that has helped in strengthening my faith. These events have also given me inspiration and memories that will truly last a lifetime! Hopefully, I can inspire someone by sharing these memories through my posts.

I believe that everything that has happened in my life; everything that I have experienced; and every single person that I have met in my life were all part of God's plan for me. So, unto Him, I return all praise, honor, and glory.

It was only little over a year ago when Ryan and I were first invited to their home. We were just another group of photographers hoping to get their trust in documenting their wedding day. I remember being so nervous meeting them and hoping we would be the lucky ones, so I prayed that if God wanted them to be our clients, then it would happen… I prayed hard that we would say the right things and that we presented es-sense as the photographers/videographers who could capture their wedding like no other! With God’s grace, Lauralee and Steve chose us amongst what I felt were more experienced photographers – in a sense that the other photographers they had met had more weddings under their belt compared to us…

From our first photo session with them at their house for their table numbers, to their engagement session in Seattle which led to their wedding day last year, Lauralee and Steve have become my loyal clients. A few months ago, I took Lauralee’s maternity session and most recently, Ryan and I were again invited into their home. This time, we took photos of their first baby!!

I know I’ve thanked them SO MANY TIMES, but I am forever grateful! Thank you Steve and Lauralee for having faith in us! We were total strangers but you trusted us. You made us feel like we were part of your family and we’ll never forget eating dinner with your parents and grandparents up in Seattle! That was so awesome! We are so blest to know you! We’ve enjoyed the times we had with both of you and I know we’ll be seeing one another again soon! I’m still trying to figure out our schedule, but I will definitely make time to take your family photos with the rest of your relatives too!
