Waking up early for morning workouts… drinking 8 glasses of water a day… eating more fruits and vegetables… TRYING to sleep early….

Yup, Ryan and I are making a lifestyle change!  It’s about time!  That is what we’ve been up to lately for the past week and with God’s help we will be able to stick with our healthy regimine this time!!  I’ve re-joined sparkpeople.com and since I got the new iPhone 3GS last week, I added the tracking application that the website provides! Now I’m able to track the foods I’ve eaten, calories I’m burning, and my water intake! Oh and most importantly, it tracks the weight I’ve lost so far.. and when I checked this morning.. I already lost 2 lbs! WOOO HOOOO! I know I have a long way to go.. but hey.. it’s a start! I just need to stick with it… focus.. focus and most of all pray for guidance!

Since pictures makes blog posts more interesting, here’s a picture of the berries I ate this morning taken with my IPHONE 3GS!

OH and since it’s FRIDAY, here’s my HAPPY FRIDAY VIDEO! It’s a topic related video and hopefully this NEVER happens to ME or Ryan!! haahahah!

Ryan and I met up with Hugh & Juliet on an early Sunday morning.  We had scheduled an Ever After session with them and I was sooo excited!! It would be my second time photographing my friends AFTER their wedding! The first time I did this kind of session was with Kuya Ed and Shey at the Missions at San Juan Capistrano.  This time, we met up with our friends at the Heritage Park, located in Cerritos, CA. The location was just so perfect for them!

Here are some photos from our Ever After Session!

I love having fun with my friends! Especially when I have the opportunity to photograph them for whatever reason.  Sunday morning Ryan and I met up with Hugh and Juliet for their Ever After session. It was fun! I miss taking their photos! Here’s a teaser from that day.

So es-sense turned 3 yesterday but Ryan and I celebrated on Saturday by going to the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, CA. The exhibit was pretty cool. I just thought it would be much bigger! I loved the video presentation of the photographers and how the video showed sample photos for each of them.

Afterward, we decided we wanted to have a nice early dinner by the beach. We haven’t had lobster and crabs in a long time, so we decided to go to Redondo Beach to get some. My gosh.. It was so delicious! I thought one lobster and two crabs weren’t enough.. but they were more than enough! Next time we’ll just stick to getting one of each.

It kinda looks weird because the server had cut them open… but trust me, they were so goooood! Do you see all that meat from the lobster tail!?

Ryan and I decided to walk around the beach after our meal and enjoy the weather. We found a bench and decided to read our books. I’m still reading Angels & Demons (currently on chapter 47) and Ryan is currently reading a book having to do with exercising your brain. :oP

It got pretty cold, so we decided to head back to our car, do some errands before going home.  But before going home, I got a shot of the sunset and Redondo Beach pier.

It was a really good day and I enjoyed every minute of it! Happy Anniversary es-sense!

Since last year, my cousin, ate Jane had asked me to make time to take photos of nieces and nephews. However, because two of them lived in Florida, it was kind of hard to schedule a session, until last week. My cousin ate Juliet came to visit the family. She brought her kids along so the first thing I thought about when I saw ate Juliet was, “I need to take pictures of the kids!”

Last Wednesday, right after work, Ryan and I met up with my cousins, ate Yolleta, ate Juliet, ate Jane, and kuya Bhot along with our nieces and nephews. We decided to take photos around Sherer Park and we had a great time! Afterwards, they took us out to dinner at Hole Mole where we got some tacos and taquitos.

I didn’t get to spend that much time with them after that.. but I’m glad I was able to capture a few moments of the Fomocod grand kids. :o)

Here are some of my favorite photos! To see more, PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR THE SLIDESHOW.

Yay! It’s Friday! It’s still a work day, but I’m officially starting my weekend today by not stressing on anything.

This weekend, Ryan and I actually don’t have anything big planned, so I think we might visit the Huntington Botanical Garden since we have a membership there or finally check out the Annenberg Space for Photography exhibit in Los Angeles…  Not sure what we’re gonna do, but we’ll make good use of our time doing something productive. Anyone interested in coming along??

Here’s our video for today. This was again shared with me by our Ninang and it’s really cool! Seriously… there are so many talented people in the world!

Talk about talent… here’s another picture from my session on Wednesday. My cousin’s daughter Carter doing her ballerina moves! She is so cute! This reminds me of that 1999 “superstar!” movie.

After work Ryan and I met up with my cousins, ate Yolleta, ate Juliet, ate Bheng and kuya Bhot at the park. They brought our nephews and nieces with them because they wanted me to take some portraits of the kids.

Here’s a sneak peak from the session today :o). More to come tomorrow!

Last Friday when I arrived at work, a co-worker got my attention when she said there was a rainbow outside the building! I hurriedly got my point and shoot out of my purse, I opened up the blinds to the windows of my boss’s office and I started taking pictures of the rainbow.

I LOVE SEEING RAINBOWS! REAL RAINBOWS! The ones you see high above the clouds, way up, up in the sky! If there were such a thing as rainbow chasers (like the storm/tornado chasers) that is what I would probably do as a profession.. :o).. chase rainbows and admire them as much as I can.

I LOVE the BIBLICAL meaning of the rainbow and for those of you who do not know what it is, here’s the verse:

Genesis 9:8-17 (New International Version)

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

Here’s a picture I took that day behind our tinted glass window from our office and I just wanted to share it with my blog visitors :o)

It’s always great to design, order, and receive albums! Currently, I’m working on the design for kuya Rich and Mimie’s wedding. Then I still have 3 more others that I need to design as soon as I get their photo list.

Here are two albums I received last week.

Here is Gary and April’s Wedding Album.

Here is ate Lanie’s and Joben Wedding Album. We actually had to order two separate books to fit the number of photos they wanted in their wedding albums. One album contained their preparation and ceremony photos. The other album contained the family formals and reception photos.

Ryan and I are catching up on getting our lives organized! Since the beginning of the year, it’s been non-stop for us. Not that I’m complaining, because really, all this work we’ve had for the first half of the year have been blessings from God… Blessings we always pray for… Blessings we do not want to ever take for granted.

Now, as we finish working on two wedding videos and designing albums for weddings we’ve worked at, we also take this time to just enjoy life by doing other hobbies… Although I’m on vacation mode because summer is almost upon us.. Ryan and I want to keep our minds busy!

We’ve been reading books borrowed from our library… organizing our home/office space… Oh and since Ryan got his technician license for his ham radio, he’s been talking with our friends Giles, Floyd and Andrei about this new “hobby” of his… Then today, Ryan tells me he wants to learn the morse code! He gave me an example as how people memorize it and it’s pretty awesome! For example,

···- is the letter V and the way some people memorize it is by remembering the first 4 notes of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. V is 5 in roman numerals. so ···- is V. Get it??!?  Oh well.. as long as we do…

He tells me that some people even blink the morse code in order to communicate with other people who know it… :oP

So, if you see me and Ryan blinking rapidly at one another…. it might be because we’re just flirting with each other or it could be that we’ve mastered the morse code and we’re communicating with one another! hahahah yes, we’re just cool like that! ;o)

Since blogs are so much more better with photos, here’s a picture of the books I’m reading for entertainment purposes ;o).
