Ryan turned 32 today in the Philippines, but will be turning 32 in about 3 hours here in the US.  So this is a blog post dedicated to my one and only husband :o).

I’m going to share 32 things about Ryan that many people might not know about, so without further ado, here goes.

1. Ryan loves grapes.

2. Ryan does not like processed cherries, the kind that is put on top of banana spilt sundaes…

3. He enjoys educational books, manuals, instruction booklets… anything educational.

4. He is the middle child. He has one younger sister and one older brother.

5. He created our jingle: http://es-sense.blogspot.com/2008/04/our-new-video-jingle.html

6. His favorite food: anything that’s easy to eat.

7. He is the master of photo montages for es-sense.

8. His first job outside the family business was creating ring tones for Wireless Services Asia in the Philippines.

9. He is color blind. Not too bad.. but he can’t tell whether the battery charger lights are green or red.

10. He started to learn the piano when he was 4 years old.

11. He was part of a High School band and played the keyboard in the Philippines.

12. He learns fast.

13. Ryan denies gaining weight since he got to the US 5 years ago…

14. His duties to God always comes first.

17. Ryan likes to find bargains.

18. He enjoys digg.com

19. Ryan looks more like his mom, but his personality comes more from his dad :o)

20. When Ryan laughs, he has the biggest smile!

21. He is very patient.

22. He works hard to provide for our needs.

23. He can compose/arrange music in a day

24. His favorite tv series: 24

25. Before I met him in person in 1999 he saved up for a whole year so he could spoil me and take me out. He saved his money, not in a bank but in a dresser drawer… :oP

26. He is a loyal, supportive, and a faithful husband.

27. He likes eating soup.

28. Ryan’s favorite singer when he was younger was, Gary V (musician/composer in the Philippines). Gary inspired Ryan to learn how to write music for church.

29. He likes sleeping in as much as he can.. but on Sundays, he’s the first one wake up at 3:30am (we perform in the choir for the 6:30am worship service).

30. Ryan has the most ikkiest cat story experience ever.

31. When I asked him what his favorite color was, he answered, “Transparent”.

32. He loves me very much and I love him very much.

There you have it! All these little things make him so special and so unique… I’m so lucky that he’s mine :o).

And since photos makes blogs better, here’s a happy picture of Ryan at Disney. It’s not his best picture.. but he was really happy and proud to show off the turkey leg he’d been eyeing all afternoon! We’re planning on going to Disney tomorrow and on Friday to celebrate his 32nd birthday! Stay tuned for more photos on Ryan’s birthday!

Happy Friday to all! Hope your week was good. As for me and Ryan… BUSY as always, but thankful we lived through another grueling week! It’s been kinda stressful.. but we’re taking it one day at a time. Also, my brother Johnson is ill and his joints are swelling up… hopefully he’ll get better soon. I don’t like seeing him in pain.. :o(

Well, here’s another Happy Friday Video to start off the weekend that I wanted to share with whoever stumbles upon it. It’s a video Ryan wanted me to watch… and really Ryan dear, I can take a hint that the way I scramble eggs is not up to your standards…  :oP I’m not a good cook, but hey I try… so after watching this video, I tried making scrambled eggs the Chef Ramsay way. I’m surprised to admit that I’ll never cook scrambled eggs my old way ever again!!

This is my version of cooking “gourmet” scrambled eggs! IT’S SO DELICIOUS! SERIOUS! I wouldn’t lie to you. Ryan and I enjoyed it earlier this week after performing in the choir last Sunday morning. He asked me, “Is this how it’s suppose to taste?” I also didn’t have a clue what it’s suppose to taste like, but it’s sooooo good and fluffy…. I’m not complaining.. gosh, so YUMMMMMYYY!

If you’re not allergic to eggs… I hope you try it out!! Here’s the video:

We’ve been trying to save… not spend too much… and still find ways of entertainment without having to spend money.  So, we did what many people would/could do… Ryan and I signed up for library cards at the Long Beach Public Library near our chapel. Earlier this week we received our cards making us official book borrowers!

On our first day of book borrowing, I chose a Nicholas Spark’s book called, “The Choice”. So far, I am loving it. There are parts in the story that are actually funny and I find myself laughing! Ryan however got a book called, “Business By Referral”. I told Ryan that he always reads educational materials… I, on the other hand, like to read for entertainment… But whatever makes us both happy is fine by me. Especially since we didn’t have to spend a single penny on the books. :o)

I am nearly half way done with my book and can’t wait to check out more… and maybe I’ll get something educational to read too…. and that’s a big MAYBE.

Photos make blogs better, so here’s a photo of me with some of my fellow Buklod Officers. We had a “just for fun” photo shoot two weekends ago.

Ryan and I have been blessed to work with wonderful coordinators in some of our past weddings. One in particular, was the one who got me and Ryan into wedding and event photography.  That person is my good friend, Ester Vasquez with “By Invitation Only”. I can’t thank her enough for her encouragement and faith in us! She was the one who started it all for us. Ate Ester still does some events but because she has become more involved in planning our locale’s functions for church, wedding and event coordinating is not in the top of her list. So for the couples who are still able to get her to coordinate their weddings, YOU.ARE.EXTREMELY.LUCKY!

Another coordinator we’ve been blessed to work with is Allan Arceo. He coordinated the wedding we photographed last Saturday and he did a tremendously, wonderful job! I remember the first time I noticed his creativity and talent in putting things together. It was during my friend Vanessa’s Debut party. His details in creating the candles and props for the performances made Vanessa’s party unique and something unforgettable.

Yesterday, Ryan and I met with Caroline Chang.  She is the event coordinator for Serenity Events as well as a co-editor for a new magazine called, “Serendipity“.  It is the first and only bridal magazine to cater to Asian brides in Southern California. She talked about her plans with the magazine and how the first issue has already been printed! If you’d like a copy of it, contact her or you can click HERE. Caroline told us that this magazine will be issued twice a year, but hopes to get more issues out in the near future… Truthfully, I think it’s going to be a success and it was an honor to have met with her.

If you’re looking for coordinator(s), here are my recommendations! Ester Vasquez is located in Long Beach, CA. Allan Arceo is located in San Diego, CA and Caroline Chang is located in Cypress, CA. I truly believe in wedding coordinators and they are definitely a photographer’s best friend! They make sure your event goes smoothly so you can enjoy every bit of your special day! Now who wouldn’t want that???  If I were to get married to Ryan again, I would definitely hire a wedding coordinator. Please contact me if you need any of their contact information!

And since a post is always better with photos, here is the cover of the Serendipity Magazine.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning in San Diego, CA, particularly in the city of National City. It was the wedding day of Gary and April.  Ryan and I met with both of them at April’s room at the Ramada and the room was filled with April’s relatives. Many of her relatives traveled from out of state, some came from the Philippines to be with April on her special day. Not only was it April’s wedding day, but it was also her birthday! They were all such beautiful and caring people.

Just wanted to thank Allan Arceo who coordinated the wedding and giving me the referral. Ryan and I had a blast spending time with April and Gary. It’s really nice to make friends along the process and art of wedding photography! It’s a lot of hard work.. but the people we photograph make it worth while.

Gary and April, you made it worth while!

I hope you enjoy these photos from your wedding. These are some of my favorites but to view more, please click here for the slideshow.

Hair & Make up by: Christina Camero

She had the prettiest gown I’ve ever seen! Her cousin Vanessa Joy designed the dress and April got it made in the Philippines!

Her train was long enough for her to sit/lay on!

Seriously. Her. Gown. Was. Beautiful!

I am the kind of person that likes to do things herself… As much as it would be so much easier for me to outsource work, if I know I can do it myself… then I don’t like bothering anyone else.  This includes designing and ordering albums.

I received two albums late last week! Wooo hooo!! I love receiving packages in the mail, especially the kinds that I know will make other people happy!  One album was for Sheila’s debut and another album was for Mark and Anafe’s Wedding.  I know.. I know.. their events happened last year.. why am I just getting their album’s to them right now?  Because it took that long for them to finally decide on their photos.. and I don’t blame them because it takes a lot of time to go through hundreds of photos…BUT hopefully, Sheila, Mark and Anafe will realize that the time used to decide on their album photos were not in vain!

I am currently working on Ate Lanie and Joben’s album and should be done with the layout soon for them to view and approve!

And as I have learned from Jasmine Star, I’m making sure ES-Sense is properly displayed :o)

Ryan and I got home an hour ago from our mini-overnight San Diego vacation. We headed there Friday night for a wedding we photographed today, April 18, 2009. It was nice to just hang out and explore San Diego together… We got lost for about 45 minutes trying to find a place to eat dinner last night. First we decided on BBQ, but the restaurant we GPS’ed was closed. So we decided to go get some seafood, but on the way, we saw a Pei Wei and decided to try it there. It was fun driving around with Ryan, singing all sorts of songs and realizing that it was another simple joy that God had given to both of us…

Before bed, I wanted to post up a sneak peak from today’s event! I’m going to miss April and Gary! More on them later… for now, here’s the preview.
