What is Twitter!?

Just wanted to post a simple blog up today about a new service Ryan and I signed up for called twitter. What is Twitter exactly? Here’s the answer from their website:

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

At first I was skeptical with the service it provides, but for those who have signed up and are actually using Twitter, it’s really interesting and it’s fun knowing what my friends are up to.
Twitter is really a great way of keeping in touch. For example, if there was something I saw (like a beautiful sunset) and I wanted to share it with you, I would just text it to twitter and it will automatically update all those who signed up to follow me. Twitter also gives you the option to send photos too and it’s really simple to use.

Usually I would bother Ryan at work and ask him what he’s doing, but he’s been pretty good at updating twitter that I no longer have to ask him, “when are you leaving for lunch” or “what time are you picking me up from work?”. I’ve set up my account so that I can get Ryan’s updates on my cell phone (which I can turn on and off).

If you want to find an easy way of getting in touch with people or if you just want to know what your friends/family are up to… I suggest this service. Especially if you have unlimited texting service — might as well use it right!?

Okie dokie, that’s my two cents for today. Have a happy Friday everyone! ;-D

michelle cunningham - groan! i’ve been trying to do this but am really challenged. dunno if it’s cuz i’m in the philippines. soooo frustrated!

essense.info - Janice: Sign up and let me know if you have any questions. I use it to keep friends family posted on what I’m doing.

Mary: So far so good. If you have unlimited text, then you can set which followers/those your following you want sent to your cell phone. Or you can just log on to web to see what everyone is up to. It’s just a faster way of getting in touch with people… I guess sending e-mails isn’t fast enough anymore hahah…

Mary Marantz - I’m still trying to get into twitter…let me know how you like it!!

Janice - Ok You gotta show me how to do this. =)
